The Homily was good. The priest said that the ash being put on our forehead signifies and shows that we openly admit that we are sinners and that we are repentant about it.
This is the only time I knew that meaning wholeheartedly. I'm sorry for being so childish but this is true. So ... the ash on my forehead now plays a lot of meaning than anything.
The Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lenten Season ... my not so favorite season. :( But then, if His passion, death and resurrection didn't happen, where are we now? So it's just rightful that we commemorate this very important event in our lifetime. :)
